JAPANESE UNIVERSITY-ISI COLLABORATION WILL PRODUCE MONUMENTGAL WORK OF ART
Denpasar, Jul 21 (ANTARA) - Cooperation between Japan's Kanda University and the Indonesian Arts Institute (ISI) in Denpasar, Bali, is expected to produce a monumental work of art.
"Collaboration of the percussion art and Japanese-Balinese dances is expected to serve as a bridge between the Japanese community and the Island Paradise," ISI rector Prof Dr I Wayan Rai sasid here Tuesday.
He said that the collaboration between arts and repercussions which will be developed by the two high arts learning institutes in Japan and Bali will reflect the appreciation of the public in the two countries.
The Japan-Bali collaboration will be developed following the signing of a cooperation between the Japanese university and ISI in Denpasar, Prof Rai said.
In this context ISI executives and lecturers will be visiting Kanda University in November 2009, where they will at the same time sign the cooperation.
The visit to Japan will get funding assistance from the High Learning Institutes Directorate General of the National Education Ministry.
