Iran’s nuclear industry showcases export potential at Shiraz Expo 2026

Shiraz, IRNA – The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) has displayed its products and technological capabilities at Shiraz Expo 2026, highlighting potential export opportunities in healthcare, agriculture, nuclear medicine and radiation applications, including markets in the Persian Gulf littoral states.
The organization is exhibiting in the Hafez Hall at the international trade fair, which opened on October 11 and runs through October 16, 2026, at the Fars Province International Exhibition Center.
Its offerings include irradiation systems for agricultural pest control and food decontamination, industrial product strengthening, cold plasma devices for treating wounds, diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, nuclear density and level gauges, and technologies for exploring and extracting radioactive mineral resources.
Four companies affiliated with the organization are participating. One specializes in radiation applications for agricultural pest control, with a new irradiation facility scheduled to open in Darab in the coming days.
Another produces cold plasma devices for treating pressure and diabetic wounds. Fifteen wound-care clinics have been established nationwide using the technology, organizers said. Representatives reported interest from Russia, Afghanistan and Arab countries attending the exhibition.
The organization also presented its radiopharmaceutical products, which it described as exclusively produced domestically, with more than 260 irradiation centers using its radiopharmaceutical services.
Its nuclear measurement equipment, designed for industries including oil, gas, refining, petrochemicals, cement and steel, also attracted interest from Persian Gulf Arab countries. Afghan traders expressed interest in airborne geophysics for mineral exploration, potentially opening avenues for bilateral cooperation.
Organizers said the exhibition had generated promising business opportunities. This year’s expo spans 25,000 square meters and includes the Art Expo event for the first time, despite challenging conditions in the country.
