Hamhung University of Medicine Marks Its 80th Founding Anniversary

 Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Hamhung University of Medicine marked its 80th founding anniversary.
President Kim Il Sung founded the university on October 15, 1946, gave instructions for strengthening the university education and sent many experimental apparatuses and educational equipment on several occasions.
During his visit to the university in May 2008, Chairman Kim Jong Il praised it for training many competent talents with strong revolutionary spirit and high medical technology and had a photo session with its meritorious educators.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un took measures to successfully build the university into a center for training medical workers and developing the Juche-oriented medicine.
The university, awarded Order of Kim Il Sung, has produced many academic winners.
A commemorative meeting took place on October 14.
Present there were Pak Hyon Chol, chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, officials concerned and officials, teaching staff and students of the university.
