National Center for Palms and Dates to Participate in SIAL Paris 2026

Riyadh, October 17, 2026, SPA -- The National Center for Palms and Dates is preparing to showcase its presence on the global stage at SIAL Paris 2026, scheduled to take place in the French capital from October 17 to 21. More than 19 Saudi date companies and the International Dates Council will be participating in this event. This participation supports national efforts to strengthen the presence of Saudi dates and their products in international markets, increase investment and commercial opportunities for Saudi companies, and raise the value of their exports, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
By participating in this exhibition, one of Europe's largest international trade shows dedicated to food and beverages, the center aims to build on the sector's achievements. The goal is to enable Saudi date companies to access new markets and expand their business networks with importers, distributors, retailers, and representatives from the food industry. These efforts are expected to enhance the competitiveness of Saudi products and strengthen their global footprint. The center highlighted the progress made by the palm and date sector, notably Saudi Arabia's position as the world's leading exporter of dates by value for the fourth consecutive year, according to data from the International Trade Centre. In 2025, the Kingdom's date exports reached approximately SAR1.938 billion, reflecting a 14.3% increase compared to 2024.
Furthermore, the center pointed out that its participation in the exhibition, which will feature over 7,500 exhibitors from 135 countries, aims to highlight the diversity and quality of Saudi dates while showcasing value-added date products. The exhibition will also demonstrate the various culinary uses of dates through interactive activities, including tasting sessions that showcase innovative dishes and recipes tailored to consumer preferences in international markets. The center emphasized that its participation reflects ongoing efforts to support the export ecosystem, strengthen collaboration among farmers, marketers, and exporters, and develop the value chain of the palm and date sector. These initiatives are designed to sustain the growth of Saudi exports and reinforce the Kingdom's position as a leading global producer and exporter of dates.
