KSrelief’s Masam Project Removes 995 Mines and Explosive Devices in Yemen in One Week

Aden, October 19, 2026, SPA -- The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s (KSrelief) Masam project for clearing Yemeni lands of mines removed 995 mines and explosive hazards from various areas of Yemen during the third week of October 2026. The items included 50 anti-personnel mines, 39 anti-tank mines, 902 pieces of unexploded ordnance, and four improvised explosive devices.
The total number of mines and explosive hazards removed since the beginning of October has thus reached 3,542, bringing the cumulative total removed since the launch of the Masam project to 597,031. The Houthi terrorist militia had planted these items indiscriminately across Yemeni territory, threatening the lives of innocent children, women, and older people and instilling fear among civilians.
Through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its efforts to clear Yemeni territory of mines through a project that enhances civilian safety and helps the brotherly Yemeni people live in dignity and security.
