Five provincial health services receives pick-up trucks
(KPL) Lao-Luxembourg Health Initiative Support Programme gave five pick-up trucks worth US 82,500 to provincial health services of Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Borikhamsay, Khammouane and Savannakhet province to use their works in the provinces.
The handover ceremony took place on 17 July at the Medical-Drug Supplies Centre, Ministry of Public Health.
Head of the Medical-Drug Supplies Centre, Dr. Thanom Insane, representing Lao-Luxembourg Health Initiative Support Programme gave five pick-up trucks to representatives from provincial health services.
Mr. Khamhoung Heuangvongsy, Deputy Minster of Public Health, and country representative of Lao-Luxembourg Health Initiative Support Programme and concerned officials attended the event.
Ministry of Public Health had a policy on medical equipment maintenance in 2003, conducted by the Medical-Drug Supplies Centre with its main work of maintain the medical equipment in hospitals nationwide.
