Iraq Offers Promising Investment Opportunities Across Industrial Sectors: Industry Minister

BAGHDAD (NINA) – Minister of Industry and Minerals Mohammed Nouri said on Sunday that the Iraqi government is ready to facilitate investment and create a conducive business environment, highlighting the promising investment opportunities available across various industrial sectors in Iraq.

According to a ministry statement, the Iraqi delegation, headed by Nouri, met with Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on the sidelines of the ninth edition of the World Investment Forum 2026.

The meeting focused on prospects for strengthening industrial, commercial and investment cooperation between Iraq and Qatar, as well as opportunities to establish industrial and investment partnerships between the two countries.

Nouri emphasized that Iraq offers promising investment opportunities across a wide range of industrial sectors, noting the potential to translate these opportunities into tangible investment projects.
