Tehran to host Saudi, Turkish, Pakistani top officials: Official

Tehran, IRNA – Ali Bagheri, Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, announces that senior officials from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey will travel to Tehran as part of efforts to implement the idea of endogenous security in West Asia.
Referring to General Asim Munir’s visit last week, Bagheri noted that the Pakistani army commander, in a meeting with Major General Mohsen Rezaei, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, announced that senior officials from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan had decided to travel to Tehran, meet with Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary, and hold a joint meeting.
The purpose of these senior officials’ trip is consultation with Major General Mohsen Rezaei regarding regional security, he stressed.
The official noted that Khalid bin Salman, the Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia, General Asim Munir, the Commander of the Pakistani Army, and Ibrahim Kalin, the head of Turkey’s intelligence agency, will attend the meeting.
Bagheri lauded the successes of the Iranian nation and armed forces in confronting the aggression of the US-Israeli enemy and their failure to achieve their aggressive goals.
Iran’s defense approach, built on domestic capacities, has become a successful model for national security-building, while on the other hand, Iran’s strategic policy is to ensure regional security through the regional countries and to confront all foreign interference and infiltration, foremost that of the US-Israeli regimes.
Bagheri described the illegitimate Zionist regime’s involvement at any level in West Asia as detrimental to the security and stability of the region’s nations.
All three countries attending this meeting, along with Iran, can take an effective step toward creating endogenous security within the framework of Iran’s effective idea for regional security-building with the participation of regional actors, drawing on Iran’s successful experience in national security-building, he stated.
