Saudi Camel Racing Federation Announces Schedule for Saudi Olympic Camel Cup

   Riyadh, October 27, 2026, SPA -- The Saudi Camel Racing Federation has announced the detailed schedule for the 2026 Saudi Olympic Camel Cup, set to take place at Al Janadriyah Camel Racecourse in Riyadh from November 1 to 5. The championship will feature competition for 24 cups, with prize money exceeding SAR 10 million.
   The sixth edition of the championship will begin with 46 races in the Haqayiq category over four kilometers, followed by 35 races in the Laqaya category over five kilometers. The third day will feature 22 races in the Jatha'a category over six kilometers, followed by 14 races in the Thanaya category over eight kilometers. The championship will conclude with 12 races in the Hail and Zamoul categories over eight kilometers.
   The rotation of competitions helps motivate and reward local camel owners while reducing the burden of transporting their camels. It also plays a key role in expanding the fan base of camel racing, a sport deeply rooted in the Kingdom's heritage, and preserving this longstanding cultural tradition among younger generations across the Kingdom, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
