Official Weigh-In Successful for 'Mexico vs. The World' Boxers Ahead of Today’s Bouts in Riyadh

   Riyadh, October 31, 2026, SPA -- Boxers competing in the “Mexico vs. The World” event, which Riyadh hosts today, successfully completed their official weigh-in on Friday evening, building excitement ahead of the eagerly awaited showdowns featuring an elite lineup of Mexican and international boxing stars.
   Every boxer on the card made weight at the ceremony and declared themselves ready to fight, having wrapped up the technical preparations and organizational steps that precede their walk to the ring.
   Mexican star Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez headed the lineup at the weigh-in as he prepares to take on world champion Christian Mbilli for the World Boxing Council (WBC) super middleweight belt.
   The weigh-in rounded off a string of media activities staged in Riyadh in recent days, among them the press conference and the face-offs between the headline fighters, which captured the spirit of rivalry and excitement before the event begins.
   Competition gets underway today, Saturday, at 5 p.m. Saudi time, when Hector Aguirre meets Brayan León in the opener of a nine-bout evening.
   “Mexico vs. The World” is one of the global sporting events hosted by Riyadh Season, as part of efforts to draw boxing’s top stars and stage international clashes that strengthen the capital’s presence on the world map.
