Letter to Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un from Participants in Meeting of Koreans in Japan

 Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un received a letter from the participants in the meeting for marking the 80th anniversary of the enforcement of the secondary education of Koreans in Japan on October 31.
The letter noted that the 80-year history of the secondary education of Koreans in Japan is the glorious one in which exemplary history and traditions for national education were provided under the fatherly care and benevolence of the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, the great Generalissimo Kim Jong Il and respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.
Thanks to President Kim Il Sung who defeated the Japanese imperialists and liberated the country, the Koreans in Japan embarked on the education of their children with the building of a mother tongue school, out of their desire to instill the Korean nation's soul and dignity into their rising generations, even though they lived in an alien land, and thus proclaimed the enforcement of the secondary education of Koreans in Japan with the foundation of the Tokyo Korean Secondary School on October 5, 1946, guided by the principle of building schools first and engaging in organizational construction next, the letter said, adding:
Chairman Kim Jong Il with his gifted wisdom defined the national education of Chongryon (General Association of Korean Residents in Japan) as the lifeline of the movement of Koreans in Japan and the starting point of its organizational construction and patriotic activities. Although the homeland was in stern days of arduous march, he showed such warm loving care as sending educational aid fund and stipend for Korean children in Japan on many occasions.
Like the great President and the great Chairman, the respected Marshal has shown great benevolence, sending a huge amount of educational aid fund and stipend for Korean children in Japan every year, having a photo taken with Korean schoolchildren from Japan who took part in the new year celebrations in the homeland and awarding honorary titles and orders of the dignified Republic to Chongryon officials and teachers.
The participants in the letter pledged to successfully train the next generation of Chongryon to be patriotic, excellent and responsible by further improving the quality of national education as required by the developing times, giving full play to its advantage and preserving its Juche character. -0-
