Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center Named World Smart City Awards Finalist for Second Consecutive Year

   Barcelona, November 5, 2026, SPA -- The Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center was named among the four finalists for the Governance and Economy Award at the World Smart City Awards 2026 in Barcelona, selected from more than 533 entries representing 68 countries.
   The recognition was for the center's Integrated Infrastructure Coordination Plan, designed to improve infrastructure project quality in Riyadh Region through integrated planning and coordination among government entities, private-sector organizations, and service providers. The plan also helps enhance implementation efficiency and minimize conflicts between infrastructure projects.
   The awards are part of the Smart City Expo World Congress 2026 (SCEWC26), held in Barcelona, Spain, from November 3 to 5. They recognize cities and organizations for innovative solutions and initiatives that make cities smarter and more sustainable and improve quality of life. The awards highlight pioneering uses of technology to address urban challenges and improve the efficiency of services and infrastructure.
