Hajjah, November 5, 2026, SPA -- The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) officially handed over a residential complex designated for displaced families, along with its service facilities, in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen.
The project comprises 232 affordable housing units for displaced families, each consisting of two rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and an open courtyard. All units are equipped with integrated solar power systems. It also includes the provision of 150 additional solar power systems to families from the host community, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 1,994 people.
The project further includes the construction of a secondary school to meet the educational needs of children from the residential complex and host community, a mosque, and two children's playgrounds. These facilities help provide a suitable residential and educational environment and promote social stability and development among beneficiary families.
Hajjah Governor Abdulkarim Al-Sunaini expressed his appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, for its humanitarian efforts and continued support for the Yemeni people. He noted that the project reflects the values of solidarity, offering displaced families an opportunity for a stable life and restoring hope after years of suffering amid the current circumstances.
