Kumho Tire halts production due to labor dispute

SEOUL, July 24 (Yonhap) -- Kumho Tire Co., South Korea's No. 2 tiremaker, said
Friday that its three plants nationwide will be closed until Sunday due to a
strike.

Unionized workers at the tiremaker went on strike earlier in the day after
failing to reach an agreement with management over a pay raise and other
incentives.
The three plants, including one in the southwestern city of Gwangju, will resume
operations from Monday, the company said in a regulatory filing.
