QUAKE HITS SOLOMON ISLANDS, NO TSUNAMI THREAT TO M'SIA

KUALA LUMPUR, July 25 (Bernama) -- A 6.3 Richter scale earthquake hit the
Solomon Islands at 9.42am today, the Meteorological Department said Saturday.

The quake's epicentre is located at 564km northwest of Honiara in Solomon
Islands and 4,350km southeast of Kunak, Sabah, an East Malaysia state, it said
in a statement.

The quake did not pose any tsunami threat to Malaysia.
