A Yemeni national's hand was cut off for having committed theft

Riyadh, July 24, SPA -- The right hand of Hasan bin Ayyash Ahmed
Sagheer, a Yemeni national living in Saudi Arabia, was today
amputated from its palm for having committed theft.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Interior said the so-called
has committed stealing and fled away. The security authorities were
able to apprehend him. During investigation, he pleaded guilty and
was convicted by the judicial authorities of theft.
According to Sharia law, the palm of the right hand of the culprit
was cut off, the statement said, warning whoever dares to commit
stealing against the same punishment.
