Torrential rains kill family in Taiz

TAIZ, July 25 (Saba) - A father has died along
with his son and daughter after torrential rains washed some areas in Taiz province
over
the past few days.
People in the district of Usaifra found the body of the father and his son near the
al-Ameria dam after they were washed up by rains.
Search for the body of the killed daughter continues.
In north, Amran province has been in a ten-year rainfall destroying infrastructure,
lands and homes.
Last week, heavy rains lashed central Yemen several people and engulfing thousands
of the people in Dhamar. Roads were disrupted and fresh water and electricity
supply was
cut off.
Early this year, a number of people were reported dead as flood waters swept many
parts of the republic. Rains also caused damages to lands and other properties.
Last year, Yemen witnessed the worst rain tragedy in years in which more than 90
people were killed and more than 2000 homes destroyed across the republic.
