POLICE AGAIN SEARCH BAHRUDIN`S HOUSE
Cilacap, INDONESIA, July 25 (ANTARA) - Anti-terror police again searched the house of Bahrudin Latif, the father-in-law of wanted terrorist Noordin M Top, in Cilacap, Central Java, on Saturday following last week's hotel bombings in Jakarta.
A car arrived at the house in Pasuruhan village at 1pm following the arrival of three plainclothes policemen on motorcycles.
Three men in plainclothes and wearing mouth covers got off the car and entered the house while the three policemen on motorcycles stood guard outside the house.
Several minutes afterwards, one of the three policemen who entered the house came out again carrying a blue jerrycan which they put in their car and then went back into the house.
Soon afterwards community chief Aris Kristianto and Mlela village head Muslihudin entered the house.
Several policemen then came out of the house again carrying several items.
TV journalists who wished to cover the activity were prohibited to get close to the house and were only allowed to take pictures from across the street in front of Bahrudin's house.
After searching for around one and a half hours the police from the anti-terror unit Densus 88, accompanied by local police officers left the house and so did Aris Kristiano and Muslihudin.
The head of Pasuruhan village, Watim Suseno, on a separate occasion confirmed that the police were from Densus 88 and Cilacap police resort.
He said the officers took some documents and a piece of VCD belonging to Bahrudin.
"I do not know about the contents of the documents but this might be connected with the result of investigation of Arina, Bahrudin's daughter or Noordin's wife," he said.***
