TWENTY SWINE FLU VICTIMS IN TANGERANG RECOVERING
Tangerang, Banten, July 26 (ANTARA) - The local health officials said that a total of 20 swine flu victims in Tangerang, Banten, had recovered from H1N1 virus infection.
Head of Tangerang Health Service for Infection Disease Yully S Dewanti said up the fourth week this month nine residents had contracted the swin flu virus.
"They were previously tested positive with the virus but now they have recovered and have resumed their daily activities," she said here on Sunday.
Of the nine victims, five were students of an Islamic boarding school "Dar-El Qolam". They were AH (16), SP (18), MFP (11), MF (16) and YP (17). The other four were family members of a veterinarian in Curug, namely W (44), I (38), R (4) and L (14).
The laboratory tests on the blood samples of the nine victims indicated they were infected with the swine flu virus but before the results of the laboratory test were shown they had already recovered.
In the meantime, Head of the Health Service for South Tangerang, Dadang S Epit said up July 26, eleven residents of South Tangerang district have been tested positive to be carriers of the H1N1 virus.
"But the eleven victims have recovered and have been allowed to go home," he said.
The eleven victims were LP (17), S (12), MR (10), NN (30), WA (36) IG (33), SN (14) and WI (21). "Three other victims are still kept a secret. We will disclose them in the near future," Dadang said.***3***
