THREE NS CAMPS CLOSED AFTER SUSPECTED A(H1N1) SYMPTOMS SURFACE
KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) -- Three National Service (NS) training
camps have been ordered to close for a week from Monday after suspected
Influenza A(H1N1)symptoms surfaced among trainees in the camps.
NS Training Department director-general Abdul Hadi Awang Kechil in a
statement here, said Kem Tangkas Kendiri had 314 trainees while the Lagenda
Gunung Ledang and Kem Merang Suria camps had 298 and 292 trainees respectively.
"The camps concerned arranged transportation to send their trainees home
while some were fetched by their respective parents," he said.
According to Abdul Hadi, the trainees have to report back to their
respective pick up points as instructed to resume their NS training unless they
were given exemptions by government medical officers.
They had also been advised on precautionary measures to take and to quickly
seek medical treatment if the situation warranted, he added.
