DHL LAUNCHES NEW SERVICE TO US AND CHINA

KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) -- Logistics company DHL has launched a new direct Less than Container Load (LCL) Service from Port Klang to Los Angeles in the United States and Shanghai, China.

With this service, DHL said it now serves 54 destinations in the US with its
inland network via Los Angeles and through Shanghai, DHL is able to provide
direct service in China with fast and reliable transit times.

DHL South Asia Pacific chief executive officer, Amadou Diallo, said the new
service capitalised on the local trade landscape as the US and China remained as
Malaysia's top five trading partners.

"The launch of the new direct LCL service from Port Klang to Los Angeles and
Shanghai extends our extensive network capabilities in Asia Pacific," Diallo
said in a statement Tuesday.

"Since the start of 2009, we have introduced 17 direct services from China,
Thailand, Japan, India as well as Malaysia to key cities around the world,
enabling Malaysian businesses to tap into an unrivalled network and leverage
opportunities in the global market," he said.
