Kidnapping hinders development projects: FM says

SANA'A, July 28 (Saba) - Foreign
Minister Abu Baker al-Qirbi has affirmed that kidnapping hinders the development
process
in the areas, where it takes place.

In a statement to the Media Centre of the Interior Ministry, Al-Qirbi said that
international countries and humanitarian organizations refuse to establish
development projects
in such areas for fear of their nationals and workers' lives.
He indicated that kidnapping crimes impact negatively on the country, saying that
its impact would also extend to affect the tourism and investment future. That
makes kidnapping
a crime targets the nation and its supreme interests, he added.
To overcome such phenomenon that damages the country's repute, the FM said that
needs mobilizing all official and public efforts.
Regarding Yemeni ties with the kidnapped people's countries, al-Qirbi said that
they have not affected, adding that they realized that kidnapping is an individual
crime
committed by outlaws.
Al-Qirbi praised the security authorities' efforts to encounter the crime and their
keenness on releasing the kidnapped people safely, calling sheiks and local
officials
in kidnapping areas to encounter strongly the kidnappers and cooperate efficiently
with the security apparatuses to put an end to kidnapping phenomenon.
