KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysian Navy's (RMN) Scorpene
submarine KD Tunku Abdul Rahman will be among the many highlights of the
Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA'09).

The Scorpene submarine would accompany 16 RMN warships of various class
at South-east Asia's premier maritime and aerospace show, HW LIMA Exhibitions
managing director Ahmad Dzuhri Abdul Wahab said Thursday.

He said the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) would be showing off the Sukhoi
SU30MKM, F/A-18D, Hawk 108/208 and MiG-29N aircraft, Eurocopter helicopter and
many others.

Other aircraft on display would include the Bombardier CL415 of the
Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) and fighter jets from the Royal
Australian Air Force (RAAF).

Visitors could for the first time witness a flypass by the elite B-52
bombers from the United States and an aerobatic show by Surya Kiran and Sarang
of India.

Others lineup include the RSS Intrepid frigate from Singapore, a Pakistan
tanker destroyer and warships from India and the United States.

Ahmad Dzuhri said 60 percent of the exhibition space had been booked and was
confident that all would be taken up in three months.

The organiser had also achieved 80 percent of the participation target for
aircraft and warships at LIMA'09 from Dec 1-5.
