N. Korean military says investigation of seized fishermen underway

SEOUL, July 31 (Yonhap) -- North Korea's military notified Seoul on Friday that a
pertinent organization is investigating seized South Korean fishermen, the South
Korean Unification Ministry said.

"North Korea sent a fax message in the name of a military working-level official
in the East Sea district," the ministry said.
The fishermen were seized on Thursday after their boat strayed into North Korean
waters off the east coast.
