MNS TO RAISE AWARENESS ON WATER RESOURCES
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) today
launched the Water Vision 2009-2010 programme to raise awareness in youths on
the importance of water resources.
MNS president Dr Salleh Mohd Nor said the programme was aimed at instilling
a sense of social responsibility in youths towards the environment and water
resources in ensuring that water sources were always clean.
"This programme is a start for the MNS to get youths to be actively involved
in water conservation efforts in Malaysia and take proactive action to preserve
the environment and avert contamination of water sources," he told reporters
after launching the programme here.
