Laos and Republic of Korea gets visa exemptions

(KPL) Laos and the Republic of Korea will offer visa exemptions for diplomats and official passport holders from next month.
According to the press release from the Republic of Korea Embassy in Vientiane, the visa exemptions between the two countries will be effective from 1 August, following the signing of an agreement on the mutual waiver of visas for diplomatic and official passport holders from both countries. It enables travelers possessing the necessary documents to stay in either country for up to 90 days.
The agreement came at the bilateral summit meeting between the Republic of Korea and the Lao PDR on the sidelines of the Korea-Asean Commemorative Summit, which was held on Jeju Island, Korea in June this year.
Period to the agreement South Korea tourists and businesspeople holding ordinary passports were permitted to visit Laos without a visa for a period of 15 days.
