Yemen, US discuss human rights cooperation

SANA'A, Aug. 02 (Saba)- =
Minister of Human Rights Huda Al-Ban held a meeting on Sunday with the =
US deputy ambassador to Sana'a Faith
over aspects of the mutual cooperation between the ministry and embassy =
in field of spreading awareness on rights.
The minister said that the system of the human rights in Yemen =
witnessed notable progress, pointing out to the activities and program =
of the ministry in this regard.
She said that the ministry trained 200 workers in detention authorities =
over human rights last year and first half of this year.
She affirmed that the ministry would work to conduct program to raise =
awareness over human rights detention authorities, highlighting =
cooperation of the embassy to carry
out these programs in order to serve human rights in Yemen.
For her part, the US diplomat valued efforts exerted by the Yemeni =
government represented by the ministry within enhancing production of =
human rights in Yemen.
She voiced readiness of the embassy to cooperate with the ministry to =
spread knowledge over human rights among detention authorities.
