Ministry of Culture and Information Fines Violators of Copyright, Printing and Publishing
Riyadh, August 03, SPA--The Ministry of Culture and Information has
continued its efforts in combating violations of the regulations of
copyright, publishing and printing in trade shops, institutions and
companies.
The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry for Internal
Information Abdulrahman Al-Hazza' pointed out that the Committees of
Reviewing Violations of Copyright, and Printing and Publishing have
issued more than 100 decisions in the first half of this year
including fines exceeding SR 1 million, the closure of some shops and
the confiscation and destruction of thousands of violating materials.
