Fighting against drugs
Taraz, August 07, 2009 (Khabar) - The Kazakhstani customs officers withdrew over 9 kg of raw opium on the border with Kyrgyzstan. Citizen of neighboring republic tried to take drugs through the border. Bag of a courier caused suspicion among the customs officials and they found liquid staff of dark brown color with specific smell in the bag. Raw opium as well as heroin are considered to be heavy drugs. The seized person is blamed for smuggling, keeping and transportation of drugs in a large volume aiming to sell. Officials of customs post “Kordai” revealed 7 facts of illegal transportation of drugs during 3 months of “Poppy” operation.
