Two schools closed after students test positive for H1N1 virus

New Delhi, Aug 9 (PTI) Two Delhi schools have been
closed for a week from Monday after a student each from the
educational institution tested positive for swine flu.

Sanskriti School decided to close for a week after a
student tested positive Saturday.

"This is a precautionary step. We are also in touch
with parents to find out whether their children had come in
contact with the student who tested positive," its principal
Abha Sehegal said.

The school is sending messages to the parents,
informing them about the precautionary steps to be taken by
them, she said.

DPS East of Kailash has also been closed for a week
after a class-IV student tested positive for the virus. The
school will reopen on August 17.

Fourteen fresh swine flu cases were reported from the
national capital Saturday. The total number of people
afflicted with the disease in India's capital of New Delhi has
gone upto 215.

The Government has, however, said there is no cause
for "panic". PTI BKM
