Vice-President receives Vietnamese External Relations Commission delegation

(KPL) Mr. Bounnhang Vorachit, Vice-President of the Lao PDR, received at his office in Vientiane on 7 August a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Commission for External Relations, headed by Hoang Binh Quan, CPV CC Politburo member and chairman of the commission.
At the talks, Vice-President Bounnhang Vorachit praised and highly valued the visit to Laos of the delegation as a big contribution to further strengthening the traditional special friendly relation and all round co-operation between the two parties, states and people of Laos and Vietnam, especially between the two external relations commissions of the two ruling parties.
Mr. Bounnhang also highlighted new developments in the Vietnam-Laos relations, including the strong increase of Vietnamese investment in Laos and delegation exchanges at all levels.
Annual meetings between the two Parties’ Political Bureaus have put forth suitable policies, bringing in effective cooperation between the two neighbouring countries, he said.
During their stay in Laos, the Vietnamese delegation visited the Hanoi-Vientiane Friendship School, a Vietnamese-gifted school for ethnic students, and a complex for athletes to the upcoming 25th SEA Games to be held in Laos later this year. These complexes are invested by Vietnamese Hoang Anh-Gia Lai Group.
