Gypsum powder producing plant in Khammouane operated
(KPL) A gypsum powder producing plant with production capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year, invested by Viet-Lao Company (Vilago), Khammouane province was kicked off its production last Thursday.
The Vilago, a gypsum exploring and processing company based in central part of country, Khammouane province, which explored gypsum in 2004.
The gypsum plant, located in Bueng Houana, Se Bangfay district, which built in 2008, worth almost USD3 million.
The production capacity of gypsum plant will increase double per year in the phase 2 aimed to respond high volume demand of market. Lao government gave a 30-year concession to this company.
The opening ceremony of gypsum powder producing plant took place at Bueng Houana village, Se Bangfay district, Khammouane province. Deputy Governor of Khammouane province, Mr. Somchai Phetsinouane his Vietnamese counterpart from Ha Tinh province of Vietnam, Mr. Vo Khim Cu, other officials concerned were at present.
At the same time, two delegations also attended a hand over ceremony of a kindergarten in Se Bangfai district, supported 400 million kip by the Vilago.
