Aso visits S. Korean Embassy to mourn death of Kim Dae Jung+

TOKYO, Aug. 21 Kyodo -
Prime Minister Taro Aso visited the South Korean Embassy in Tokyo on Friday
evening to mourn the death of former South Korean President Kim Dae Jung and
sign the condolence book.

Aso laid white chrysanthemums and bowed deeply in front of Kim's picture, and
conveyed to Ambassador Kwon Chul Hyun that former House of Representatives
Speaker Yohei Kono will represent the Japanese government at Kim's funeral
Sunday in Seoul.
A Nobel Peace Prize winner who championed inter-Korean reconciliation, Kim died
Tuesday after a battle with pneumonia. He was 85.
