Obama names Albright to head condolence delegation for late Kim DJ: White House

WASHINGTON, Aug. 21 (Yonhap) -- U.S. President Barack Obama Friday announced the
designation of a U.S. delegation to the state funeral of former South Korean
President Kim Dae-jung led by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
Kim died of pneumonia Tuesday at the age of 85, and his funeral will be held at
the National Assembly Sunday.
The 10-member delegation includes Kathleen Stephens, U.S. ambassador to South
Korea, Harold Koh, the legal adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and
Stephen Bosworth, special representative for North Korea policy.
Also on the list provided by the White House are former U.S. ambassadors to South
Korea. They are Donald P. Gregg, chairman emeritus of the Korea Society, Thomas
C. Hubbard, senior director at McLarty Associates, and James Laney.
Other delegates are Jim Leach, chairman of the National Endowment for the
Humanities, Evans Revere, president of the Korea Society, and Wendy Sherman, vice
chair of Albright Stonebridge Group.
