Anti-aircraft division is of the same age as capital
Takdykorgan, August 24 2009, Khabar - Armed Forces of Kazakhstan have their own history. It is considered to be a combat-ready and high technology system, the core task of which lies in defending the state. One of its subdivisions – the anti-aircraft division is of the same age as the capital city. It is eleven years old. “Strela-10” combatant machine is appointed for repulsing of air attack and it is a formidable weapon in skillful hands. That’s why staff of division constantly perfects their skills. For example, they won 1st place on combat training and shooting last year among units of regional command “South”. The warriors of anti-aircraft division are constant winners at military and sport competitions.
Alexey Nurutdinov, commander of anti-aircraft division:
- Our division is in constant combat readiness on covering of mechanized and tank units from attacks of air enemy. We have “Shilka ZSU2334” and “Strela-10” and mobile anti-aircraft complexes.
There are a little more than one hundred people in the staff of the anti-aircraft division. 50 of them are officers and military men who serve on a contract basis. The rest are soldiers of the conscription service. In general, it is a cohesive and united team. The oldest member is 44 years of age. Tolegen Isin, the sergeant of conscription service likes writing letters to his relatives. He arrived here from Astana. After graduating from university, he decided it was his duty to serve his country. He noted that he did not regret going to the army as it has been a great experience.

- The Army teaches many things. Basically, it is all about self-discipline, self-care, being responsible for yourself and the staff. It’s a heavy responsibility. Therefore people are being trained here in moral, spiritual and psychological sense. Our duty is to defend our state. After realizing this, every person has to take part in the protection of our country even if it’s a very little contribution.
This apartment house will be commissioned in Saryozek very soon. Officers of the military unit will be the ones to live in it. Thus, a big house-warming party is expected to take place here quite soon.
