POLICE ARREST TERROR SUSPECT JIBRIL
Jakarta, Aug 25 (ANTARA) - National Police Spokesman Insp. Gen. Nanan Soekarna said the anti-terror police had arrested Mohamad Jibrial, a suspect in the twin bombings of JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels in Jakarta recently.
"Yes, police arrested him this evening," Nanan told ANTARA Tuesday night.
He said Jibril was undergoing questioning by the Densus-88 anti-terror police unit.
Jibril was arrested on his way back from his office in Bintaro to his parents' home in Pamulang, Tangerang, Banten, at 3.30 pm.
The arrest was made only several hours after the police announced that Jibril was declared fugitive because he was suspected to be a middleman in the flow of funds from overseas to Indonesia to finance the bombings of JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton.
