INDONESIA'S HOUSE MAID DIES OF ROUGH TREATMENT BY SAUDI EMPLOYEE
Tulungagung, Aug 26 (ANTARA) - Indri Mulyati, an Indonesian migrant domestic helper from Notorejo village, Gondang subdistrict, Tulungagung regency, East Java, had died following rough treatment by her employee in Saudi Arabia.
Suryanto, her husband said he received the bad news on Monday morning from his wife's fellow migrant worker.
He said he still did not know what had really caused his wife's death. But he had reports that his wife had worked only three months with a family in Saudi Arabia. And that she had been roughtly treated for two days, and eventually passed away.
Suryanto said he also contacted the company which had recruited her, namely PT. Kemuning Bunga Sejati, in Rawangmangun, South Jakarta, but their answers were disappointing, so that he remained in the dark about the death of his wife.
The only thing that he knew is that his wife left for Saudi Arabia about three months ago, to work with a family of Al Amai Hamdaedh Al Syamri in Al Jubeil, Saudi Arabia.
In the meantime, Head of the Notorejo village Mustakim said he had tried several time to seek information from the foreign ministry and the Indonesian embassy in Cairo, but no results.
In the meantime, Head of the Tulungagung regency manpower office Bangun Hermanto promised to follow up on the reports that a migrant worker from Tulungagung had died. ***3***
