PPRM URGES GOVT TO TAKE FIRM ACTION AGAINST MALAYSIA
Gorontalo, Indonesia, August 31 (ANTARA)-- The Gorontalo provincial executive board of the PPPRM (political unity of the poor) has urged the government to take firm action against Malaysia for trampling the self-respect of the Indonesian people.
The Gorontalo PPRM executive board chairman Jayusdi Rivai said the Malaysian action of claiming some of Indonesia's cultural property, and the clubbing and beating of some Indonesian workers in the neighboring country constituted a blatant and serious humiliation of Indonesia.
He said Malaysia's action of humiliating and degrading Indonesia's national anthem Indonesia Raya was also a very serious degradation of the Indonesian nation.
One thing is clear, namely that Malaysia was never willing to respect our sovereignty, Jayusdi said Monday.***
