Preparation for “Spasskiy tower” festival
Astana, September 01, 2009 (Khabar) - From the 5th to the 10th of September, the presidential orchestra of the republican guard is to participate in the Spasskiy tower festival. It will happen on the Red Square in Moscow and involve military orchestras from Kazakhstan, the UK, Italy, France, Russia and China. Participants of the international military and music festival will be competing in the performance of military, classical and national music.
Toleubek Kobenov, deputy commander of No. 0112 military unit, Republic guard:
- In 2006 we participated in this festival for the first time and today we have again received an invitation. Kazakhstan is the only country in the CIS, which was invited to this festival.
In Astana, members of the orchestra conducted a final rehearsal. The main speciality of this festival is the defile of the orchestra and a guard of honour. The programme involves elements of national music.
Talgat Berdigulov, head of President Orchestra of Republic guard:
- I believe that we will be able to see that every nation is proud of its culture and traditions. That is why we included our dombra players in the military orchestra. We will try to amaze both Russia and the entire world.
