Gerard Depardieu to star in Kazakh film

Almaty, September 01, 2009 (Khabar) - Gerard Depardieu, the famous French actor has arrived in Shymkent for the shooting of a new Kazakh film under the tentative title of “The Late Love”. Its authors intend to tell a story of common people in the neighborhood of 70 years of age without their feelings being faded as each and every one of them has their own joys and their own sorrows. Depardieu will play one of the key roles in the motion picture – a German with a difficult fate who was born and raised in a Kazakh village. The filming site is planned to be located not far from Shymkent in the villages of Mashat and Kelte mashat. The film directors are Aktan Aryn Kubat and Sabit Kurmanbekov.
