Vietnamese Ambassador holds reception for Vietnam’s National Day

(KPL) On Tuesday night, Vietnamese Ambassador Ta Minh Chau held a reception at the Done Chanh Palace to celebrate 64th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, September 2.
Participants included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongloun Sisoulith, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam, other ministers, deputy ministers and government officers.
The diplomatic corps and representatives of international organisations were also invited to the reception which celebrated the many years of Laos-Vietnamese ties, the special co-operation between them, and future expansion of this relationship.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Ta Minh Chau highlighted the achievements and efforts made by Vietnamese people in the social-economic development during the past 64 years. He said that over the past 64 years, the Vietnamese people have waged two glorious wars of resistance against foreign aggression, gained independence, freedom and national unification, and firmly moved forward on the path to build socialism.
He added that the Party, State and people of Vietnam vow to do their utmost to shoulder with the Party, the State and brotherly people of Laos in fostering, consolidating and strengthening the special relations of friendship, solidarity and comprehensive co-operation between Vietnam and Laos, bringing the bilateral ties to new heights to live up to the ardent aspiration and vital interest of each people in the cause of construction and safeguard of our Motherlands.
