This year the great hajj will happen in November

Almaty, September 03 2009, Khabar - At a press conference in Almaty, the supreme mufti of Kazakhstan announced that an agreement on the granting of a quota for 4 thousand places was ratified during a visit of Kazakhstan’s delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Two weeks before receiving visas, the pilgrims must be vaccinated against flu and provide a certificate of medical examination. The head of the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Kazakhstan Absattar khadzhi Derbisali noted that since Saudi Arabia is a leader in the number of people with flu at an extended meeting of the WHO, the foreign ministers of five Arab states decided to accept restrictions on the health of pilgrims and take certain age limits into account. The air corridor to Saudi Arabia will be opened from the 20th of October to 21st of November.

Absattar khadzhi Derbisali, Supreme Mufti of Muslims of Kazakhstan:
- I would like to note that Kazakhstan’s pilgrims will travel only by air, since this will correspond to the demands of both Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan. We want our citizens to conduct their hajj and return home healthy.
