MALAYSIA EXPRESSES GRIEF OVER INDONESIAN EARTHQUAKE

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 (Bernama) -- Malaysia has expressed grief and deep
sorrow at the loss of lives and destruction caused by Wednesday's powerful
earthquake in Indonesia.

A Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra) statement here says that no Malaysian
casualties have been reported but the Malaysian embassy in Jakarta will continue
to monitor the aftermath of the 7.3 magnitude quake in West Java.

Both Wisma Putra and the Malaysian embassy in Jakarta have set up
operations room for public enquiries.
