Almaty, September 04 2009, Khabar - An “Alliance of women’s organizations” has been created in Kazakhstan. 18 non-governmental organizations including the “Republic’s Council of women”, the “Women’s league of Astana” and the “Union of women of intellectual work” became its members. The Alliance will be headed by Raushan Sarsembayeva. As far back as the 90s, she was one of the first ones to become the initiator of creating the largest women’s organization of the country called the “Association of businesswomen of Kazakhstan”. According to her, it is already possible to state that the Alliance has scored its first victory. At the opening of the parliamentary session, the head of state announced that laws on gender equality and domestic violence will be adopted in the near future.

Raushan Sarsembayeva, president of “Association of businesswomen of Kazakhstan”:
- The political promotion of women will be carried out on a compulsory basis. Women will be provided with support in small and medium-sized business businesses. Social projects for the protection of children’s rights and large families which are being declared today but not being implemented will also be considered. These social projects are being promoted in a global sense in general but each of them still requires their aspects to be scrutinized.
