KASEHDIA TO ORGANISE WORLD HALAL FORUM IN EUROPE

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 (Bernama) -- KasehDia Sdn Bhd, organiser of the World
Halal Forum, will for the first time organise the event in Europe from
Nov 17-18.

This is to meet the rising demand for halal products on the continent.

With the theme, "Halal Market Potential- A Regional Force", the forum will
be held at The Hague, Netherlands, and is expected to attract about 300
delegates from over 40 countries.

In a statement here Friday, KasehDia said Europe's domestic halal food
market was big at 47 euros billion (US$67 billion) annually, with 52 million
Muslims currently living there.

It said the Muslim population is expected to double within the next 20
years, making the European halal market extremely attractive.

The forum will gather high-level participants.These include Islamic
scholars,industry experts, regulatory bodies, academia and certification bodies,
who will bring fresh insights into the halal industry from around the world.
