Savannakhet plans to develop tourist site along economic corridor
(KPL) The Tourism Service of Savannakhet province plans to develop tourist sites along the East-West Economic Corridor, Savannakhet province.
The plan was discussed at a meeting between the Tourism Service of Savannakhet province and the National Tourism Administration held in Savannakhet province, on 3 September.
The participants discussed a number of tourism development works and future plan in order to involve the private sector in the development of tourism sites along the economic corridor.
Under the plan, Savannakhet province will build a number of temporary accommodations along Road No 9, develop information on tourist sites in this central province and artisan skill development for each locality.
They also introduced the tourism development plan and private tourism investment along the East-West Economic Corridor.
Present at the meeting were Savannakhet Deputy Governor, Dr. Souphanh Keomisay, and Mr. Vang Lattanavong, Vice-President of the National Tourism Administration.
