President of RK congratulated Aktobe residents on City Day
Aktobe, September 12 2009, Khabar - The working trip of the President to industrial center of Western Kazakhstan ended. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan held master class for young tennis players, ate dishes of Armenian, Russian, Uigur and Jewish cuisines, sang one of his favorite Ukrainian songs, met with Kazakhstan’s champions on football and congratulated Aktobe residents on 140th anniversary of the city. The first settlement was founded in 1869 and today Aktobe is one of leading industrial centers of Kazakhstan. Large festivity was held at large stadium of the region and President of RK became the main guest of celebration dedicated to birthday of city.
Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan:
- Aktyubinsk became the city with half a million residents from small settlement and city’s perspectives are better.
The festive and colorful show demosnatrted Aktobe development: rapid growth of industry, development of science and cultural life. The region is one of three Kazakhstani leaders of growth and one of most attractive cities for investments. Over one trillion tenge were invested into the Aktobe region during last 10 years and it is planned to invest at least $13 billion 138 millions during the next 5 years. This will allow to open more than 40 000 new workplaces. Production, eduction, science, culture and sport are developed here.

- While everybody say economy is falling down, we received millions for complete repair of schools and it is wonderful.

- Being a young specialist and mother with two children I am very proud of being born, living and working in our multinational and flourishing Kazakhstan.
Victor Til, director general of “Kazchromium” JSC:
- The main goal of the project is raising of production of ferrochromium and reducing of primary price. We also solve ecological problems and issue of cutting of emissions.
Aktobe has water and green boulevard, high buildings, schools and sport facilities are built here. And new Friendship House was built in the regional center where representatives of largest national and cultural centers gather.
Pavel Magleli, chairman of Bulgarian ethnic and cultural union:
- It is very pleasant for us to say that nations of Kazakhstan are united due to the care of head of our state and policy of Nursultan Abishevich. And the opening of our Friendship House demonstrates unity of our people. It is not even house, it is a palace.
National and cultural centers organized a holiday in Friendship House because of City Day. Nursultan Nazarbayev tasted dishes of Armenian, Russian, Uigur and Jewish cuisines, sang one of his favorite Ukrainian songs here. The President also has visited new tennis complex of Aktobe, he likes playing tennis and played some sets with young tennis players. In future the city can have one million residents because it is developing very rapidly.

- The plants stop functioning somewhere and we build the plants, workplaces are cut somewhere and we on the contrary open new workplaces. So, we must continue developing Kazakhstan with the same tempo.
