Geological Survey Commission issues statement

Riyadh, September 12, SPA -- The Geological Survey Commission (GSC),
in charge of monitoring the seismological activities in the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia and the media source of information on such
activities, said today that due to the relatively stable situation at
Harat Al-Shaqa, a site of consecutive tremors over the past few
months, it will cease issuing its daily media briefing.
In a statement, the GSC said its statements would be confined to
serious or significant seismological developments.
