Ust-Kamenogorsk, September 14 2009, Khabar - Motor rally dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the “Kazakhstanskaya Pravda”. A motor rally dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the “Kazakhstanskaya pravda” – the oldest printed source of the country has come to an end in Eastern Kazakhstan. Participants covered almost 2 thousand kilometers on cars of local assemblage.

Alexandr Tarakov, chairman of board, “Kazakhstanskaya pravda” JSC:
- The 90th anniversary is an additional occasion for attracting attention to regions. The direct contact has always been considered to be very important. We’ve resorted to this type of visit for the first time ever. Previously, there haven’t been any motor rallies in the history of “Kazpravda” before.

Yerzhan mandiyev, motor rally participant:
- I think that all the Kazakhstani citizens will be able to see the beauties of Eastern Kazakhstan with the participation of “Kazakhstanskaya pravda” and it will be better than ever before as we used local motor cars.

Meetings with regular readers were held throughout the entire course of the run. Despite considerable remoteness from the regional center, “Kazpravda” is beloved and anticipated by people who live in villages. Almost 7 thousand Eastern Kazakhstani residents showed preference to this newspaper this year.

Berdybek Saparbayev, governor of East Kazakhstan region:
- It is good that the newspaper has started its pre-anniversary events with Eastern Kazakhstan. I would like to wish the editorial staff of this newspaper to be indispensable, interesting, and widely-read among Kazakhstani people.

The final destination is the Berel royal valley. In 1998 several dozens of Scythian burial vaults were found there. Due to permafrost, unique works of ancient culture preserved till our days. According to the government’s decision, a large scientific and cultural center will be created in these parts. After the motor run across East Kazakhstan the “Kazakhstanskaya pravda” newspaper’s banner will take its place in the museum. It was hoisted on a three-thousand-meter high mountain in South Kazakhstan; it took part in the expedition across Ural and has even been to Antarctica.
