Yemen talks with GCC over receiving Yemeni labor, says official
SANA'A, Sep. 15 (Saba)- Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Hicham Sharaf said that the government was holding talks with the countries of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to receive Yemen labor.
In an interview with Saba, Sharaf said that measures would be taken by coming year
to encourage Yemeni workers to work in the Gulf labor markets in coordination with
the
GCC during the period 2010-2012.
He pointed out to the priorities of the government for coming two years as it would
focus on modernizing administration, dealing with the problem of unemployment,
improving
trade activities in Aden Free Zone (AFZ) and strengthening stability and security in
the nation.
The deputy minister considered people - who described Yemen as collapsed country-
are haters of Yemen.
Yemen is like other world countries facing problems which are being tackled by the
government, he said.
